Cheerleader & Duke (Part 1)A Story by Abishai100Teacher remembers his college-years cheer-days of Saturday-football TV and a cheerleader superstitious mystery making madness (3-part fiction).
A sports-culture/fields vignette for your January weekend. Thanks for reading,
---- ==== "It was Autumn (again) and a season for college-football superstitions for my school classmates, the great audience for competition-culture reflected as prints for Saturday-TV in the American Homeland, and I thought back on that time as an adult teacher (now) fondly. I thought fondly of a special lady classmate I knew back then, a school-program football team cheerleader-angel named Danica who made me feel like writing (Selfie-like)." ![]() CHEERLEADER: Boy, this Saturday's TV-game has all-spark for things knucklebones. ME: That it does, Danica...and I wanna adapt a chance-win into fiction somehow. CHEERLEADER: You should be a creative-writer, or maybe a teacher of it, pal. ME: That's a good thought (for me); I like watching you on-field cheering and all. CHEERLEADER: Maybe you'll include me in your tale for Saturday-TV, pal (Selfie). ME: That's cool (Facebook-like). ![]() "The cheerleader I now thought of in that Autumn season(s)-run of Saturday-TV cheers of college-football superstitions made me think of the 'qualia' of competitiveness itself, and when I heard, back then, as her classmate, there'd been some dark mystery concerning a dark rage contest between two cheerleaders resulting in the vanishing of one, I knew that I found myself in an Earthling 'matrix' of things of weird photo-synthesis, all linked to football stories for the Ego." ![]() CHEERLEADER: I got us fried-chicken for this brunch, pal. ME: Excellence, Danica (thanx!). CHEERLEADER: What a win, eh? ME: Great for the school/program (sure). CHEERLEADER: What'd you make of this weird rumor, pal? ME: Makes me wanna write something about it, especially if you're linked here. CHEERLEADER: Me? ME: Yeah, I mean, you're one of the more pronounced cheerleaders on-field now. CHEERLEADER: Shelbye's disappearance ain't got chicken to do with me, pal, ok? ME: Hey, hey, hey...just making chat on this Sunday post-Saturday game stuff, ok? CHEERLEADER: It's a dark chapter for our cheerleading-unit, pal (Selfie-like). ME: Suddenly, I feel like a detective enjoying chicken, ok.
