Travel/Time: The Two Jury

Travel/Time: The Two Jury

A Story by Abishai100
"

Divided/distanced college-pals find sudden restoration of Earthling-ethics with a time travel adventure and discovered rebellion-adventure worth a time-return reflection of jagged goodness.

"
I really wanted to add this piece-concept stirring in my mind for some-time, even though I said I was done writing for the day. Hope you like it (stay safe/warm),

Amlan and Marcus didn't know, despite their Ivy-League ties and long-time friendship and American Homeland camaraderie, that they'd been courting the same Catholic-nurse woman (Shelbye O'Hara) and now wondered if their feelings of a lifelong brotherly-feeling of pal-bond was destroyed by that proverbial if cliched Earthling-thing tale of incomplete-distances readings of the moral vulnerabilities of man (not worth any Martian envy).

AMLAN: You know how we used to trek to that target-shooting place in Vermont?
MARCUS: Dartmouth-days?
AMLAN: Well, that post-grad time sharpening our amateur-skill of shot was art.
MARCUS: You bring that up now as we negotiate our destroyed pal-bond, pal?
AMLAN: There's a reason, Marcus man...we go through a time-machine now.
MARCUS: What?
AMLAN: My old-friend who's now in Massachusetts (IT-nerd) designed one, wow.
MARCUS: What?
AMLAN: To restore our friendship and trust, we travel-time with silencer-guns.
MARCUS: This is insane, Amlan buddy (really).
AMLAN: Trust me, the time machine works like a T (damn).

Amlan wasn't lying (or insane!). His friend with MIT-tie designed an absolutely 'fantastic' time-travel 'toy' Amlan planned to volunteer for as a test-dummy, alongside once-friend Marcus, carrying silver silencers they got in New England, to put their Earthling metaphysics-bond to the test in an adventure worth both secrecy and wonder (ok). Amlan/Marcus went inside the time-machine and landed in old-Europe and were greeted by a rebel-clan seeking to overthrow a ruthless monarch-woman they called (in-secret caves) the Red-Queen ('RQ').

MARCUS: I admit, Amlan man...this is something else, worth a friends' restore.
AMLAN: Still dreaming of Shelbye O'Hara, Marcus my friend?
MARCUS: We can decide it (all) later in time, Amlan...we've a rebellion to cheer.
AMLAN: Sure (Facebook-like), aha.

RED QUEEN: Who're these traveling allies of the Rebels in my great land now?
MINISTER: My Lady, this is a rebellion worth a thousand thorns, and allies form!
RED QUEEN: We shall bring these two other-dimension musketeers to our castle.
MINISTER: What's the game here, my Lady of darkness?
RED QUEEN: We shall see if they've any skill worth a fortune, with life-stake.
MINISTER: Sounds like a true-maze for a future-time whisper in a graveyard!
RED QUEEN: Good, self-like.

WAITRESS: Pho for 2-foes?
AMLAN/MARCUS: We're no foes, lady (ok).
WAITRESS: You were arguing much about our menu here in Cambridge, so...
AMLAN/MARCUS: We just helped a minor-rebel clan in Europe with time-travel.
WAITRESS: What?
AMLAN/MARCUS: Yeah, yeah, and we outmatched an evil queen's target-archers.
WAITRESS: With toys, gents?
AMLAN/MARCUS: We're not lying...and we boosted morale for the rebellion, ha.
WAITRESS: Good story, boys...here's your Pho.
AMLAN/MARCUS: We're not foes, and time-travel cements our man-friendship.
WAITRESS: That's a good story, gents (Facebook-like).
AMLAN/MARCUS: Earth's jellyfish (thanx).
