Streets of Ladders (Photo)A Story by Abishai100Veteran sage cop man Amlan takes on wild/unreliable trainee-rookie Marcus in an American city 'rich' with chance energies of accident/weakness.
Injecting this streets-crimes adventure noir in-between my Green Hornet capitalism-honors trilogy for your pre-Valentine's weekend, loosely-inspired by Training Day (Ethan Hawke). Happy Valentine's (thanks for reading),

AMLAN: Yes, young Marcus...some banks and court offices of bad kingdom, lad. MARCUS: Maybe I wanna get in on such 'action-hyperbole' for the gritty, ha. AMLAN: Damn, young Marcus has the tenor-brain of things potentially corrupt. MARCUS: Yes, I get that, old-cop man..."young thrill-cop ends up rad-danger." AMLAN: Could I be wrong there, young Marcus (hmmm)? MARCUS: You strike me as a fan of The Untouchables (Sean Connery). AMLAN: You fan of Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese), young Marcus (Facebook-like)? ![]() Unfortunately, for old-sage cop man Amlan, this first-day of training young/wild/unpredictable/dangerous rookie-cop trainee Marcus ended in Amlan's tragic street-death, post-error of Marcus going wild and out and out-of-bounds just to get-in on a street inter-gang crossfire heating-up 'incident' that made Marcus feel that young-rad tenor-mind to get 'chummy' with the bad-guys. At the funeral, Amlan's police-chief said a eulogy for vet-Amlan...and Marcus listened, whispering to one of his American station peer-cops (perhaps a future partner-replacement). This wasn't Facebook-like (for the Ego). ![]() MARCUS: This priest delivering the cop-funeral prayer-sermon is all religion. DAVID: Many cops here think you're to-blame for good Amlan's tragic demise! MARCUS: Don't get loose-talkie, Officer David...you might replace Amlan, no? DAVID: You and I partners, perhaps for this gems-case that hypnotized Amlan? MARCUS: What the Hell was that case anyways, David (hmmm)? DAVID: Something with prostitutes and city-officials (dunno)...up to the Chief. MARCUS: Amlan was like Sitting-Bull, Officer David...damn, this prayer's good. DAVID: Cop-funerals (always) invoke something quiet; we'll see the future. MARCUS: Facebook-like. ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
