Lycanthropy: American Quilt

Lycanthropy: American Quilt

A Story by Abishai100
"

Fiction-piece presentation of the disappearance of an Earth-man possibly linked to a lycanthropy-mystery worth a smoky 'quiet' for Hell.

Werewolf-piece/fiction. Enjoy (stay safe/warm),

Mr. Amlan Satan had been enjoying a nice drive-in experience for Summer-season stories-relaxation in the American Homeland but then vanished. No one knew what happened to him, but a terrifying note was discovered in his parked car, and it read, "I know I saw a werewolf in the woods at a distance from the drive-in movie-screen and I'm gonna follow it with my camera, and should something happen, maybe this shall be something worth a campfire-darkness for things...unexplained."

Amlan, a Slovak-Algerian Catholic-Bostonian 2nd-gen immigrant of the American Homeland, was liked by his neighbors and co-workers in the city he commuted to from a quaint suburbia-town (Echelon). He worked happily as a sports-market writer in an American football 'bureaucracy' office and rather appreciated the month he vanished from Earth his black-and-white was featured on the office-space wall for Employee of the Month. That was before the Summer-season drive-in became Mr. Satan's vacation-choice of retreat for a night-time relaxation of stories and shine...and no one knew if his lycanthropy-note had any truth-value for any kind of social-media culture comment (Facebook-like).

MR. SATAN: What the Hell are you, creature?
WOLF: I'm a being born of moonlight and blood, Earth man.
MR. SATAN: You were once a man, a normal human-guy, and now a wolf?
WOLF: I was bitten (by a wolf), Earth man.
MR. SATAN: Geez, if you bite me, am I converted into your dominion, Wolf?
WOLF: Maybe, Earth man (ha).
MR. SATAN: Why do you think I've become your witness here, Wolf?
WOLF: Maybe you're my successor, fool.
MR. SATAN: Well, this was not the Summer drive-in for quarterbacks (ok).

Amlan simply vanished. HIs girlfriend claimed he made the Earth's best lamb-curry, and maybe it was a recipe he found/learned (from somewhere). Did Amlan Satan get bitten by a werewolf in those woods he claimed he'd be scurrying into to follow a sighting of a 'specter' of wolfen-shape (for mind)? Did he get bloody-murdered by the Wolf he 'met' so as to be remembered only in mourning for those who knew/liked Satan's lamb-and-pens? Mr. Satan had become a lycanthropy-statistic, a 'shadow' in the annals of the mysteries-and-fog of wolfen-fiction and campfires (hmmm). One night, while enjoying some lamb-curry his ex-girlfriend (Shelbye) ordered on Uber-eats, remembering Amlan Satan's kitchen-genius (fondly!), Shelbye swore she felt the cold visage ghost-like feeling of a wolfish shadow standing outside his window during a (dark) thunderstorm that reminded her of Amlan (himself). Was she simply hallucinating while enjoying lamb (for mind)?
