Amlan had adopted a special boy from the East after moving to the American Homeland and building his American Dream and decided to gift his adopted-son (Michael) a gorgeous mod-TV culture cheers reflection sports (American basketball) trading-card featuring a pronounced Western world athlete-star (of Texan-American superstitions) and explained the prize-treasure would bring the boy a great fortune/magic (for life!).

MICHAEL: Do you think I will get into good school with it?

AMLAN: Yes, and we'll both move to your school's area (maybe Princeton!).

MICHAEL: The Earth is scary, father.

AMLAN: That it is, but I'm planning to invest in Chinatown now.

MICHAEL: Ooh, a restaurant.

AMLAN: Maybe I'll teach you how to cook egg soup, boy!

MICHAEL: What will my Texas-card get us for the restaurant?

AMLAN: We'll get a poster of your new/fave athlete for our wall-decor!

MICHAEL: Facebook-like (for Earth).

Amlan did very-well with his Chinatown investment and decided to expand his capitalist-flares collection for his burgeoning American Dream life (with son Michael) with a fancy jewelry-enterprise and taught his son all he knew about diamonds and cufflinks (ha).

MICHAEL: Inn-Express!

AMLAN: Your fave road-trip pit-stop, boy.

MICHAEL: We'll watch basketball in the lounge.

AMLAN: Cool (Facebook-like).

MICHAEL: Is this hotel safe from 9/11, father?

AMLAN: Yes, yes, and we'll find more magic to send us to Princeton.

MICHAEL: We have to go all the way to Maine to trade diamonds?

AMLAN: Yes, with a mystery-investor who claims he knows Bill Gates.

MICHAEL: That's my card luck...we'll learn McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure!

AMLAN: Maybe (Selfie-like)...for American quality.
