A Downs Case: City Thinker

A Downs Case: City Thinker

A Story by Abishai100
"

Transfer idealist detective narrates his (undercover/dark) case drawing weird-guess of a siren-culprit insider-woman (maybe policewoman) becoming predator of Earthling-city things quicksand.

"
A crime-psyche noir portrait (fiction) for your late-Sat. Feb. Loosely inspired by Se7en (David Fincher), Thanks for reading,

"I was working as an undercover policeman transferred from my West-Coast city (in the American Homeland) to my new station in my new East-Coast city and was (quickly!) assigned a dark case involving a serial-killer probing the sociological 'tomes' of human civilization to prey on the natural human race sensitivities of world/culture peaks and valleys, as if to make us (all!) feel somehow closer to doom/self-ruin (wow). I had my hunches/leads after interrogating 'people of the streets' and then found the right-hypothesis that the psycho psyche predator was a policewoman, someone who had insider-feels for the Earthling 'consciousness' of man's special pockets/alleys of fear and Selfie-visualization (for bureaucracy/words)."

OFFICER CHARLIE: You think I'm your Jane Doe, detective?
ME: I have a small-hunch this Jane Doe probing nature-fears is an insider, lady.
OFFICER CHARLIE: Why me, detective?
ME: You seem to have a sharp/shrewd view of this city's corners/alleys, yeah?
OFFICER CHARLIE: That's what my peers and superiors tell you, detective.
ME: Well, it's a small-hunch, but I'm gonna need to keep some tabs on ya, lady.
OFFICER CHARLIE: Do what you can, detective...but I'm just a steel-woman, ha.
ME: Sure, sure, sure...Facebook-like.

"Officer Charlie it turned out was rejected from West-Point and according to her station-peers had small-talk ramblings about becoming the ultimate 'Wonder-Woman' of the American military forces but had settled on the small complexity of streets-cop work in the American Homeland of Earth (ok). I found her journal, left-behind in our station locker-room, co-ed and neighboring the single-gender bathing/restrooms of course. In Charlie's journal, there'd been scribbles about her deceased/murdered father being an anxious psychiatrist telling his family (at dinner-time!) about things of human frailty/culture that made for ambition and daydreams 'complications' he gleaned from some of his more 'unusual' couch-patients. Was this Officer Charlie's spark that drew her to a 'touch-of-evil' and intuition of making culture-tomes motive for bad-seed crime malice/mischief/nihilism (for doubt)?"

CHIEF: This is silly (maybe), man.
ME: Well, I transferred here, and you expected me to be energized for this case!
CHIEF: I know, I know.
ME: Charlie's Jane Doe, Chief.
CHIEF: Whatever (silly), man.
ME: I have this guess she's behind this new cheerleader-stalker/death story, sir.
CHIEF: What?
ME: There's been much sports-networks culture-tomes in our land lately, no?
CHIEF: So?
ME: What if Charlie wants to make herself some 'blood-hunter' of TV-pillows?
CHIEF: What're you some Freud-scholar, detective man?
ME: Let's just say crime (always) seems to invoke the 'smoke'...of know.
CHIEF: Good luck, detective...this case stinks like quadrilateral-art (Selfie-like).
ME: I know, I know (Facebook-like).
