The Shadow was amazed at the time transport device his mad genius science buddy had invented in his Cali-lab and then recruited the masked American vigilante to use/test to travel back to the time of WWII to engage with the forces of Western powers to see what could be done to avoid the 'necessary' suicide of Reich-Fuhrer Hitler (damn). The Shadow decided to take his special magic stone ring of hypnosis on the journey (for doubt).

FUHRER: You claim you're a wandering time-distanced mystic from future-Earth?

SHADOW: I assure you Reich-leader of this Earth that your fate has been hard!

FUHRER: What's this reference for the Liar-paradox you make for bravado, fool?

SHADOW: "Every statement is incomplete"...except that very one...for kills.

FUHRER: You make dare-claim to my Third-Reich powers for IQ premise, fool?

SHADOW: I assure you Reich-leader of this Earth that my magic is hypnosis.

FUHRER: Damn.

The Shadow had found and engaged with the dark and foreboding Reich-leader of Earth post-travel back to the Blue Planet time of WWII, when the Germans threatened to take seizure of all notions of traditions/customs stabilities for revolution-concept (damn). Shadow hypnotized the Fuhrer with his magic-ring and infuriated him with Liar-paradox notions of the distances of trust and the social contract (for communications!). Hitler ordered his 'sentinels' to find/kill the heroic Shadow after the hero-vigilante (masked/invisible) fled from his sight.

SCIENTIST-FRIEND: How's the progress for time's evolution, Shadow friend?
SHADOW: All's well and I evade the arm of the Fuhrer for this great adventure.

SCIENTIST-FRIEND: I await your return for my journal at the Inn-Express, man.

SHADOW: Surely, the Reich shall not discover my whereabouts pre-achievement.

SCIENTIST-FRIEND: What's the climate there, near the camps (etc.)?

SHADOW: The Liar-paradox proves affirming and reminding me of endurance.

SCIENTIST-FRIEND: Well, the Inn-Express (and 21st-Century) awaits you again.

SHADOW: Selfie-like (for doubt).
