Lie

Lies can become comforting shields against painful truths, offering escape but also shaping identity in darkness. Is it just a way to survive or self-imprisonment?

It’s easier to lie

To tell other’s something other than the truth

To tell stories outside the fact

To paint a picture contrary to reality

 

It’s easier to say you’re ugly

When no one wants to talk to you

Easier to say you are unworthy for task

When it seems bigger than you

Easier to say you won’t fit anywhere

When your best of  friend throws you out

It’s easier to say Love is not meant for you

When all you ever got from others is hate

It’s easier to say hope is a fallacy

When all you’ve got is disappointment

It’s easier to say faith is a lie

When all your truth have been tested by lie

And nothing was left

 

It’s easier to shut yourself up from the truth

It hurts to much

To heavy to bear

When you’ve already filled your heart with lies

They are comforting

Makes you forget the past

Or you relive them

Grow in darkness

And refine yourself with  the words it speaks

Coming out a different person

Born out of lies

 

But then, is it actually true?
