Rainy Way

I love the rain and romance

Rhythmic, gentle drops begin
covering all my surroundings.
In the doorway, standing,
watching as you embrace it.
Stepping out from my shelter
I take your hand in mine,
Looking up together
the heavens drench us.

Washed away, fears retreat,
Left only with your touch,
Taking my chance, I turn,
a blur of love, lust, and rain.
Lips meet, hearts race,
Time stands still,
the world retreats,
together we’re washed away.
