Ouch

Pain unravels my existence,
Persisting to travel throughout
everything I'm contemplating.
Resistance has become futile,
Waiting like a stalking shadow,
It overcomes my happiness.
Medication briefly saves me
From this torture that's enslaving,
as flames consume me from within.
