Men will never doA Poem by Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-Sleep my darling a little more, May it be fond and blessed, May birds and pigeons highly soar, In your dreams unsuppressed, May homeland spirit bedight you, With love, care and blossoms, Embrace you tight, throughout the night, In her ever-warm bosom,
May providence erase your fears, And your memory stained" With screaming blood and bitter tears, I think will e’er remain. But what we, the poor, have but hope, That lingers by the end, Of a hangman's rope by the skyline, We’re all to it condemned.
Sleep my darling, I will stay here, Musing the darkest hues, Maybe Satan will spare Syria, For men will never do. © 2015 Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-Author's Note
