Long GoodbyeA Poem by Adster
She cries like a monochrome starlet Caught trapped in an old time movie. Her eyes, matted with clustered tears We sigh, in this tender of instants. No farewells just a million regrets. Take our time, to hold on the fondness Of each other and the feeling of skin. Lips soft with unresisting confession Of a need for the others embrace. Don’t let go of this thing we know. The heart breaks in a tattered line Torn in two, don’t think I’ll ever be fine. Your hair, so soft combed in the fingers Can’t let you go, why do we have to part? You drop you arms, then you walk away. Too long to wait, before I’m ever with you Maybe a year perhaps another two. Take my time to correct my mistakes The one’s I made to send you away. Let me see you, one last long goodbye. © 2008 AdsterReviews
