I Will Survive

 

I will not cry,

Although my heart is broken;

Tears will not fall,

Though my soul’s torn in two.

And even though

It seems my life is ended,

One thing I’ll do,

I will survive.

 

I will survive—

I’ll stay upon the pathway.

I will survive—

I’ll see the end of day!

I’ll stay for now,

And fight again tomorrow.

No matter what,

I will survive!

 

I’ll keep my pride,

And hold my chin up firmly;

Tears fill my eyes,

But I won’t let them fall.

And in this life,

Whatever else may happen,

I’ll see life through;

I will survive.
