THE SUN EATER'S ANTHEMA Poem by AkinloluThe world is full of gods with feet of clay
I am the Sun Eater, the dream weaver,
The cosmos too small for my dance with the reaper. I came with songs carved in stone, not chalk, Convictions eternal, solid as rock. I’m titanium; unyielding, unbent, I wield the imperium, heaven’s gates in my grip. I’m the cat with lives beyond ninety-nine, Death keeps calling, but the crown stays mine. I am the flame; untamed, unbroken, The spark of creation, the word unspoken. I am the mountain, my apex scarring the skies, A platform for legends, a summit for flight. I’ve walked on comets, I’ve swallowed the night, The Sun Eater roars, and the void complies. Yet even titans ache, though their armor gleams, I drown in silence, I break in dreams. This heart of fire still throbs, still bleeds, Unbind my pain; unbreak these needs. © 2025 AkinloluReviews
