RENDEZVOUS WITH RAMAA Poem by AkinloluA Frontier's Paradox
In the days of my visit to Rama...
with Carl Sagan, We were joined by a Lama And a Sackett named Flagan. We found floating towns Where hard-bitten men wore permanent frowns, Our joy lay in crossing new frontiers. Sarsaparilla forgotten, no taste for old beers. In their red light district, Most vehicles ran lights unrestricted, Yet the law stayed strict On crimes that made life conflicted. Criminals ran for office In robes of white, And the gullible masses voted without sight. © 2025 AkinloluAuthor's Note
