Hell in the hallwayA Poem by Aldo kraasThat is an old poem Written by Aldo KraasSomewhere between the nightstand and my nightmare Empty vials of pills meant to balance chemicals work against me Like a bible verse written in love but used for hate There's side effects that are unintended Even the best of intentions can kill the innocent Civilian casualties from a liberated country Sometimes things both work while causing pain Like using a sledge to hammer in a pin My hands shake, but I guess that keeps me from holding knife So I stay stuck, in the middle, uncertain, in the dark They say when one door opens another one opens But it's hell in hallway
