My father's words

My father's words

A Poem by Aldo kraas
"

That is an old poem Written by Aldo Kraas

"
My father told me,
Son; remember this Tuesday;
It will be different from any other day,
Today will be filled with love
And covered with grace,
For the words that will come out of my mouth,
Will remove from your path misery and pain
If and only if you listen attentively to my words.
Remember today and keep the sound of my voice.
I speak to you and keep no secret,
I speak to you with no taboo,
It's clear, it's between us…
Keep your heart from envy,
It destroys life.
Let no place in you for hatred,
It's vicious and kills.
Be thankful for everything you have;
That's your portion, your share.
Work, work and work while you still can
Because one day will come
When your muscles will betray your confidence
And all your strength will vanish like smoke.
Respect your elders,
They are wise and they know better;
They've been around long enough to show you the way.
Learn to listen to God;
He is the source of everything on earth,
And will give the key to your mystery.
Son, dear son, don't you forget this day
Neither the sound of my voice
That comes to you with love
To show you the way to success.
My father told me;
My son; remember this day
Because it's the day I die!
