The loss of a child

Angelic babe, seems like yesterday
I held you in our first embrace
my heart, my soul,
what greater gift? a mother's love
friends come and go, lovers too
but a mother's love endures
each passing year I love you more
and always love you still
sweet blessings and holy love engulf
we'll meet again in God's pure sight
till then keep safe my angel child
forever feel your mother's love.
