For my Mom (after her Mom died)

I don't know the words

The comfort I can bring

I don't know the rhythm

To the song that I should sing

We gained a you

And now lost a her

On this

The very same day

I pray that God 

Would take from you the hurt

As she

Has God taking her pain

Joy in sorrow

Life through death

Hope beyond measure

When treading God's path

The Lord does give

And take us away

Who knows how much time

We have 'til that day?

So live and be blessed

For the time you did give

Remember our Saviour

Is quick to forgive

She will be free

If she trusted in Him

On to eternity

Apart from her sin

Taken from earth

Like a seed that does perish

Reborn into Heaven

As a plant God will cherish

Find comfort, I pray

If it can be attained

Rejoice in this day

For her name is proclaimed
