By the Blood

By the Blood

A Poem by Alicia-Veracity

Nails penetrate

Flesh without blemish

Taunts and fierce hate

By blood hope replenished

Beatings and cuts

Mockeries aplenty

Will they die with this Man?

In their fear, circumventing

Alone treading paths

A murderer’s allotment

Embracing all wrath

Solemn and forgotten

Taunts to discourage

And melt His bold countenance

He holds fast to hope

That some will find repentance

Dignity shed

For the emptiest lives

Hope ignited

To Hell’s depths He dives

Death held the keys

But not anymore

For He paid for our release

When He kicked down Hell’s doors

So trust in the King

Believe in His name

For by the blood of Jesus

Our hope is reclaimed

I like it. How Jesus saved this world. Nice one.

If art is truth, just let me give that one a big Amen.
