Sometimes I do wonder

If I say too much

I pour myself out

My emotions just gush

Am I causing distress

With my onslaught of feelings?

I know I’m a mess

Yet, what I say has true meaning

Simple words feel empty

I say them too much

So I open my heart

Worried one phrase is not enough

Maybe I’m silly

Just tell me it’s true

That you do love me

As much as I do love you
