Sing of the Unknown

I’m called to the sea

To the darkness down below

To the rushing of its waters

Encompassing my soul

To drown in crushing depths

To cease to feel at all

Indifference swallowing

The wholesomest of souls

For apathy is numbing

To laugh despite the hurt

Dancing on endless waves

Weightless and unburdened

Yet love beckons me back

Its call a touch unrivaled

I sense the truth beneath

And return before I spiral

I choose to feel it all

And never give it up

A painful, kindly call

For the One we know as Love

I sink to empty depths

And rise on weightless wings
