The Words I Won't Say

Words I won’t speak

Things I’ll never say

I compile them up

In my head every day

I won’t let them out

I’ll lock them down tight

In the prison of my mind

They’re kept out of sight

You’ll never know

Because you’ll never have to

Guarded and chained down

I won’t let them loose

In a dank, dark cell

I’ll leave them to rot

And should they ever slip past

I won’t miss my shot

There is no escape

For the words I won’t say

No hope for freedom

There is only the grave
