Run Forth

Run Forth

A Poem by Alicia-Veracity

A whistle to warn

I run just the same

The light growing closer

This isn’t a game

Devastate me completely

Or shall I break through it?

Soon a force will meet me

But what is brought to ruin?

Can I overcome

A force of this magnitude?

Cut through with love’s song

And my unbreakable attitude?

What shall be the end?

I really can’t say

And yet I will continue

To run forth anyway

Featured Review

This poem pulses with urgency, pitting dread against defiance as a looming "light" threatens. The whistle warns, yet the speaker runs, fueled by "love’s song" and an "unbreakable attitude." Questions of overcoming or ruin linger, unresolved, but resilience shines through, embracing the unknown with courage to persist.
