The Crackling Flame

The Crackling Flame

A Poem by Alicia-Veracity

The crackling flame

A dangerous kind of beauty

So intense in its resolve

To consume whatever it is given

And yet, it shows a kindness

To the cold and the lonely

As it brings warmth to their lonely souls

And comfort to their hearts

Your poem burns with a fierce, tender light—intense yet comforting, destructive yet kind. The imagery lingers, and the warmth it offers to the lonely heart makes it unforgettable. Beautifully done.
