The More I Know

The More I Know

A Poem by Alicia-Veracity

The more I know

The more I revel in the questions

The more I comprehend

The more I become uncertain

But I’m content in this

For the questions bear a mystery

Something for me to ponder

And a hope for me to seek

Maybe I don’t get it

Maybe I never will

Maybe it’s ok for me

To sit, listen, and be still

Maybe You will show me

Slowly and in time

Maybe there’s a purpose

For this simple little rhyme

What if things run deeper

Than we could ever dream?

And if we knew too soon

We’d surely burst right at the seams

And so we learn in pace

Through patterns and by senses

Until we one day understand

Through this wonder, so relentless
