Trust Me?

Trust Me?

A Poem by Alicia-Veracity

I slip into your eyes

To wander through your thoughts

I don't know how I first got here

Nor how I received the key to fit your lock

But I would delve still further

If you would just unbar these doors

For I bear enough courage

To brave your gravest corridors

Yes, I would face your monsters

And I would tend your scars

I'd even brave the dragon

That protects your golden heart

You know I'd never hurt you

You are precious to me

I'll wait for your permission

As I stand here, patiently
