You stole my freedom

You stole my freedom

A Poem by AlisonMarie<3

I live life in such agony
Wishing, praying I'll be free
One day you'll all see
What this life has done to me
I never wanted to be
A girl with a broken family
A heart no longer in one piece
You shattered it and lost the key
I used to live life happily
You took that away from me
Now I live in agony
Wishing, praying I'll be free

A powerful and sad poem. I was raised in foster homes and tossed around. Taught me to try hard to be a good father. I could feel the disappointment and I like the hope at the end. A bad situation will teach us to be better. A powerful poem with a good story.
