Around my neck is a memory

Reminds me of what I miss

Brings comfort to me

A beautiful necklace

 

Everyday I wear this item

To remind me of you

We went out on a limb

And who knew?

 

Love would find us

Consume us completly

At first driven by lust

Then something differnt entirely

 

Now this necklace

The only thing I have

To remember those precious,

Moments when I would smile and laugh

 

I no longer have moments like these

Now that you moved away

Not even my necklace comforts me

I'm alone in these days
