I have never actually written something so short, but I guess this works...

Sleep is calling me 

I hear the ringing in my head

I have tried to answer the phone

But it keeps failing to connect

Iiiiiii like it. It’s a great metaphor and I think it only needs a few lines.

The only thing I may suggest it not using “calling” and “call”. It’s a bit repetitive. Then again there aren’t many other options (perhaps buz, phone, dialing) I don’t know, maybe it’s good as is.
