Why

Free me from these chains that torment my soul.
Give my mind peace, let my heart know.
It is okay to feel again.
It is okay to pray again.
Take these images from my mind.
Give them a dark place to hide.
Tear these memories into shreds and burn them.
For the ashes will not harm anyone.
Take away the madness and forgive the mistakes.
Grant me the ability to breath.
Heal my soul from the broken bones of sorrow which haunt me from the inside.
Release the screams that ask the angels why.
Why? Am I still alive?
