Prancing puppyA Poem by Alex WareI find love confusingPrancing puppy When I think of you I see nature, a landscape, each emotion a plant or creature of its own Within I see myself a gardener, I think, a carer, and with each creature I nurture, how they love me, how I’ve grown. Very often I find myself lost, I can’t make out what’s around me, love lost sometimes to fear. Then I need to know what’s safe and right, see the landscape for the trees, find love and hold it dear. There’s so much to love that’s sweet, warm, peaceful, kind, and even when I’m not the greatest shield. At times instead clueless, tired, trying to get my strength, know at least that I’m a puppy prancing through a field. © 2017 Alex Ware |
