Little RedA Poem by Amberbased on the story of little red riding hood
Moonlight
Twilight The dusty path dappled with starlight The darkness looming amongst the trees Painted gnarly scenery that didn’t put me at ease The temperature had dropped by a few degrees The path had led me further and further astray So I hoped and I prayed to see the warm rays of day With the nights adrenaline my body started to sway But sure enough that night was soon giving way With the first rays of morning Came relief without warning And any fear was soon subsiding But what I had done would surely cause mourning That’s why I’m telling you now and confiding For you see my friend Stories have been penned Costumes stitched And performances pitched But somewhere fine details seem to have been missed So due to that I have to persist The little red you knew can all but be dismissed The wolf? yes he died But the heroic hunter? Well he cried As for me they all remember that hood And why was it red? It was soaked in blood © 2015 AmberAuthor's Note
