Constantly

Constantly

A Poem by papermush08
"

because I stared at pages of book today

"
So I carried myself
Watched the ripe sun leaving home to west
As I walked my way alone
And my thoughts were crawling on clouds
My heart cleaved then
To become my wings
I flew over my yonder visions
In where I wallowed today
Until the awaiting tomorrows
A song in the background
Chasing my pace through the wind
I'd find your presence
You're a ghost that lingers
Since you only belong to my eyes
It could have been a daydream
But I was no longer fabricating
It was all wonder
A haze of worry and care
You crested my silent attention
With a picture of you everywhere
Constant reminders
Knocking on the door inward my chest
There I began with the roses
I gave them a place
There I could just stare
At how beautiful you are
And even if you wither soon
I'd still keep the petals
The next passing hours
I opened a book in solitude
I've read the words
That accompanied my hopes for you
There were unread pages
I smiled glimpsing
Even if the sadness had a fear
You were like a piece of writing
A story that keeps telling
Mysteriously teasing my faith
Lastly I told myself:
"I'll keep reading,
as long as there were pages left"
