collapse

collapse

A Poem by Amelia Mory

I sit beneath the trees.

My arms crossed and head on my knees.

My emotions quite neurotic.

I feel I may be psychotic.

Darkness seeps into my skin.

For what I’m about to do will be a mortal sin.

In my imagination waves are crashing.

Against my pride and my passion.

My desires are aimless and perplexed.

The agony of being alone and undersexed.

Fills the shell of heart with searing pain.

You’d snub me out like a vexing stain.

Removal of my self is crucial.

You may assume I’m heartless and Superficial.

I’m infected with your love

But is this enough?

Sadly, love is not always enough. I learned that lesson the hard way around yer age. I'd never wish that lesson on anyone else. Is this piece new or one of yer older ones that ya said ya were tryin ta find?

It's got good rhythm and you use really good words... not a lot of people can use the bigger words like that. I enjoy seeing it. Good job.
