'True' Vs. 'False' FriendsA Poem by Amrita Sharma PokharelI started my voyage A gaming for a true
friend Begin the search from
hill-plain, sea-land, ocean-desert, hell-heaven... I end the journey by the
river side, Beside huge jungle side
by side Colorful clothes, tall
elegant man, mass of hooligans... My eyes halted and focused I moved my way towards them, Some magnetic forces pull
me near the pale guy... He began to fantasized
fairy-tale with me, that he had heard From his mother’s lap to
till his maturity I wondered in his
wonderland, His magic charm
multiplied in me, A man without feet, leg
and hand It was his-story, But I found the whole
world in him... Happiness lift up, Tears started to exchange Gossips crossed the
limit... Dark night fell around, Only he And Me… Perfect silence, Cool breeze win through, I lost, Fell into his mysterious
eyes... And that was that... But, All of sudden, Shouts! Cracked my hallucination I found the man in front
me Who turned to be a
“biggest liar” A false friend Who only wanted to play
with, My heart, No matter how much it
hurts...! In this hunt of true
friend, Finally, I found myself- Hunted and hence, lost my
heart... ![]() © 2011 Amrita Sharma PokharelFeatured Review
