Under lock and keyA Poem by Amy Jforget, memories, fear, scared
I'd do anything to forget,
But they just wouldn't understand, I'd run for miles to escape, Drink till I couldn't stand I'd lie underwater for hours, Just to drown the thoughts, I'd suppress every tear, Till my vision distorts I'd burn every photo, Every memory I hold, Just to forget them, To lose them, those stories of old But it doesn't matter how I feel, Where I go or what I do, I don't suppose it ever could, I don't suppose it ever will Because it's all in my head, Under lock and key, No one else can see it, Only me. Only me. They'll never understand, Why would they? Who cares? It's my life, my madness, My living nightmare I'd murder every moment, Just to escape it all, I'd slaughter each second, Just to fly. Free-fall. I'd do anything to forget, But they just wouldn't understand, I'd do anything to forget. What don't they understand?
