for my little baby who died last years

It was stupid of me to think, that you could never die.

You’ve been with me for so long, it will be sad when you return to the sky.

Years have passed and its hard to say goodbye.

To others your just an animal, a creature with fur and eyes.

But you have a heartbeat and still walked through our lives.

For anyone who knew you could say you were special, with a personality as bright as stars.

A little friend who stole my bed in winter, and sometimes drove me round the bend.

You welcomed me when I got home, and never left me alone.

Your time may not be soon, but we know it will come faster then we’d like.

But you remain so cheerful, and so very dear to all of us.

When your gone, returned to someplace unknown.

You’ll be missed and that is all I wish to say.

Now we all say farewell to the soul we all came know.

Someone as strange as life, as strong as the gods.

You’ll never be truly gone, this I know as fact.

As one final act, we gather and wish you a gentle pass.

We all stand and wait, listening to the wind howl and whisper.

Times are hard, times are never easy.

We thank you, and wish you luck as you leave to find another.

A new life time, full of freedom and many joys.
