Frontier
A Poem by E.J. Waling
Death!
The final
frontier.
Moving on.
Where to?
Where do
we go?
Death.
The next
portal the
next door
to a different
place,
a different
realm.
One not
enough.
One test not
enough.
Heaven,
nirvana needs
more
much more.
Not so
easily attained.
Current thinking
ancient,
derived
by those
unaware.
Derived by
those thinking
they were
the center of
things.
Not even
close.

I'm not a fan of poems with short lines like this becuz it's hard to read smoothly (jaggedy). That aside, your message is interesting & unique. Most people have a definite view about death, often a bleak one, so I love how you use a more probing approach, not taking a definite stand, not condemning death, but throwing out detailed possibilities that are uncommon when thinking about death (((HUGS))) Fondly Margie

Thank you kindly for reading my work.
I don’t consider what I do poetry, more like musing about things. My style is designed (in my mind anyway) to focus on individual words, words that can get lost in sentences and paragraphs.
Just my personal take on things.
