I think you called neuronal depolarization/actions potentials tiny fish? If so thats very colorful, and a fun ending as well as title.

We hardly understand sleep, we barely know any certainties of the functions of dreams; consciousness is lifetimes at least away from being fully understood.

Its one of the few (non physics based ) things that pull people within the scientific community away from atheism and towards agnosticism.

Another great philosophical and thought provoking piece.
