GauntletA Poem by E.J. WalingGauntlet. From birth to death. The gauntlet run. Staying alive, ancient course once laid out. Running the gauntlet. From physical to mental obstacles evolved. Survival of the fittest, once obstacles defined. Inundation. Modernities curse. Inundation, smothered. Smothered in information, running harder to keep up. Never, ending free flowing information. Flooding, smothering the mind, crushing the soul. Flow accelerating denser, continuously denser, the gauntlet’s state now! Runaway train the course has laid out. Look into their eyes, humanity losing its mind, its soul. Flying off the rails civilization soon will be. Best turn off the machines, while you still can.
