Estrangement

Estrangement

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Estrangement.
Severed.
Cleaved,
past from
the
here and
now.
Flopping.
Flopping
as it
fades away.
Smaller
now.
Memory
dims.
Pain
lifts.
Ceasing
to exist.
Never
happened.
Different
future.
Shifting.
Shifting
course.
Mist parts,
a new
reality.
A different
future
forms.
Comes
Into view.
Failure.
Evolution
to a
new world.
Different
world.
No longer
encumbered.
Bright,
full of
possibility.
Severed,
never to
be seen
again.
