Melding

Melding

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Melding.

It’s begun.

Psychological

dependency.

Addictive.

Drug like.

In your

face.

Can’t

let go.

In your

brain.

Embedded.

No escape.

Soon

embedded

deep within.

Cyborgs

on the

way.

Old ways

crumble,

turning

to dust.

Telepathy.

Wireless.

Mind to

mind.

Virtual

habitation.

Paradigm

shift.

New

truths

replace

old

superstitions.

Batten

down the

hatches.

Soon,

one hell

of a

ride!

A strange ride indeed my friend. We practically are addicted to our devices and the social media which is part of the alluring drug. It would not surprise me one bit the eventually become embedded into us. Scary stuff. Thank you John for another wonderful work.
