Midnight Flight

Midnight Flight

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Midnight
flight.
Soaring
to the
great
beyond.
Dizzying
heights
obtained.
Dreams
within
dreams
laid out.
Seeing
things
not
meant
to be.
Unknown
realities
foreign
seen.
Shifting
vistas.
Alternative
terrain.
Traversing
endless
outcomes,
countless
ways.
Awed
by what
is seen.
Infinite
hazy
stories
of what
could be.
Holding
on to
what’s
seen
fading.
Landing
back
on solid
ground.
Wondering.
What is
reality?
