Remnant

Remnant

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Remnant.
What’s
left behind.
Bits of
bone.
Dry,
crumbling
to dust.
Inanimate.
No essence.
What moved,
gone.
Passed
through
on Angels
wings.
Spirits ,
essence
of being.
Animate.
Gone.
Moved on.
Sprites
of creation.
Shimmering.
Crossing
gossamer
membranes.
One realm
to the
next.
Staying
for a
while.
Moving
on to
another.
Eternal
flow.
Eternal
existence.
