Battlefields

Battlefields

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Battlefields.
Eons past
to
modernity.
Clubs
to tanks.
War,
carnage.
Death.
From the
dawn of
recorded
time.
Millions
slaughtered.
Blood soaked
land.
Oozing
life,
meaning.
Meaning,
point?
Narratives,
mind control.
Programed.
Mindless
puppets,
charging the
field.
Dying.
People
don’t
rule the
world.
Narratives
rule the
world.
People,
simply
doing
what
they’re
told!
