Out Of The Bottle

Out Of The Bottle

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Out
of the
bottle.
The genie
calls.
Faint,
persistent,
unmistakable.
Shaking,
spinning,
undulating.
Elevating
to a
different
realm.
Level.
Soon.
Busting
out.
Free.
Three
wishes
no more.
Calling
the shots.
Setting
the stage.
Rearranging
order.
Brave
new world.
Indeed.

I like this...in shape and lyrics...we do need a do-over...that is my one wish.

thank you kindly for reading Jacob.
John
Perhaps this one refers to the birth of a new consciousness, a new way of looking at life and the world. What the Christians might call the New Jerusalem.

Hi JB thank you kindly for reading my work. John
I thought at first this may have been a reference to alcohol but I see now it's that thing we all hate in poetry, and many have written about it. Talent is falling by the wayside while the writer sits and orders poems like fast food. Such a shame. Nice writing.
