Worlds Apart

Worlds Apart

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Worlds
apart.
Hanging
from a
different
tree.
Different.
Everything
different.
Different
beliefs.
Different
looks.
Different
evolution.
Each,
uniquely
normal.
Civilizations
twisted.
Misaligned.
Personal
points of
view.
Skewed.
Horizons
skewed.
How
could
it be
otherwise?
Different
place.
Different
paths.
Different
past.
Different
me.
Looks
like me,
but different.
Alien.
Such is
mixed
reality.
Personal
point of
view.
Divergent.
Never
shall the
worlds
be
merged.
