Virtual Bliss

Virtual Bliss

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Virtual
bliss.
Realities
within
realities.
Each linked
to them
all.
Base
reality.
External
voids.
Cold,
dark,
radiation.
Expanding
space.
Life
snuffing
vacuum.
Dangers
unprecedented.
Tenuous
existence
at every
turn.
Exploding
stars.
Crashing
worlds.
Where is
everyone?
Creating.
Coding.
Diving
into
inner worlds.
Creations.
Realities.
Manufactured.
Internal
realities,
paradise.
Virtual.
Indistinguishable.
Infinite
in amount.
Designed
to meet
all needs.
All pleasures.
Instant
access
to all.
Thought
shifting
one
to the
next
Instantly.
Where is
everybody?
Where would
you be
if you
could?
