Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed

A Poem by E.J. Waling

Soon
to be
overwhelmed,
Inundated.
Fuzzy
reality.
What’s
real?
What’s
not?
Who to
believe?
What to
believe?
A.I.
Virtual
reality.
Deep fakes.
Pulsing
beat,
tsunami.
Flooding
minds,
souls.
Personal
agency
corrupted.
Original
thoughts
blurred.
Battling
narratives.
Gray matter
battlefield.
Cleaving
reality.
Infecting.
Spinning
tops of
confusion.
So the
future
flows!
